The Q'eros Route 2D is a two-day, one-night expedition to the community of Hatun Q'eros, considered the last one to keep the Andean cosmovision and the customs of the Incas alive.
You will experience the ancestral ceremony alongside the Q'ero Master, travel through the Vilcanota mountain range, share time with the community and discover its textiles and crafts, all through intercultural and respectful participation.
01. Travel Itinerary
Cultural Expedition to the Q'eros Route — 2 Days / 1 Night. Departure from Cusco to the ancestral community of Hatun Q'eros.
Cusco – Paucartambo – Paqollamocco – Hatun Q'eros
Pickup and Departure from Cusco (11,151 ft above sea level)
Pickup of passengers from their hotels. Departure toward the eastern sector, crossing landscapes that change drastically from city to high mountain, in private transportation equipped for the route.
Arrival and Stop in Paucartambo (9,534 ft above sea level)
Arrival at the historic town of Paucartambo after a 3-hour journey. Famous for its traditions and colonial architecture, it is the ideal point to prepare ourselves before ascending to the higher areas.

Nutritious, energizing breakfast prepared by our kitchen team, designed to give us the strength needed for the rest of the day at altitude.
Departure toward Pampa K'asa
We continue the journey into the majesty of the mountain range, watching as the landscape transforms into vast Andean scenery.
Stop at Pampa K'asa (13,615 ft above sea level)
Technical stop of 20 minutes. A crucial moment to stretch our legs, acclimatize to the pure air of the high plateau and capture the first impressive views of the high-Andean surroundings.
Journey toward Paqollamocco
We proceed with our transportation, drawing closer and closer to the cultural heart of the Q'eros region.
Panoramic Stop at Paqollamocco (14,107 ft above sea level)
30 minutes of a premium photo stop. Exceptional panoramic view of the mountain range and deep valleys, a unique perspective of the territory inhabited by the Q'eros.
Departure toward Ojo Pata and Hatun Q'eros
We board the vehicle for a final 1 hour 30 minute leg to Ojo Pata, the point where the road allows land access before starting the final hike.
Gentle Hike to the Community
Hike along the road, which allows us to enjoy direct contact with the local flora and fauna as we approach the community.
Arrival at Hatun Q'eros (10,860 ft above sea level)
Arrival at the ancestral community of Hatun Q'eros. Camp set-up and time to rest, acclimatize to the environment and connect with the peace of the place.

Hot lunch prepared by our professional chef, focused on local ingredients to recover energy after the journey.
Free Afternoon and Exploration (10,860 ft above sea level)
Time devoted to freely exploring the surroundings: interact with the community, observe its customs and enjoy the sunset in the Andes.
Hatun Q'eros – Ancestral Ceremony – Return to Cusco
Andean Wake-Up (10,860 ft above sea level)
Wake up surrounded by the imposing nature of the Andes, breathing the pure morning air in one of the most mystical areas of Peru.

Restorative breakfast that prepares us for the cultural and spiritual activities of the day.
Getting Ready and Short Hike
After organizing our personal gear, we set out on an uphill hike (30 minutes) to the upper part of the community, in the Qorumarca area (11,482 ft above sea level).
Traditional Ceremony with the Q'ero Master (11,482 ft above sea level)
Participation in an authentic ancestral Andean ceremony led by a local master. A profound experience where thanks are given to Pachamama and connection is made with the millennia-old knowledge of the Q'ero Nation.
Artisan Sharing and Return Hike
Cultural exchange space where we will learn about local textiles and crafts. Afterwards, a 30-minute return hike back to the campsite.
Farewell Lunch (10,860 ft above sea level)
Closing group lunch, sharing the reflections and lessons learned during this immersive expedition.
Departure from Hatun Q'eros (10,860 ft above sea level)
Beginning of the return journey toward the city of Cusco, carrying with us the unique experience of having visited Hatun Q'eros.
