Pachamama, Mother Earth, is the source of all life in the Andean worldview. Every grain, every root, every river and every mountain is her body. Healing the relationship with Pachamama is healing the relationship with ourselves, because we are part of her.\n\nThe gratitude ceremony to the earth is a daily practice of the Andean people. Before drinking, before eating, the grateful one "chaqchas" a few coca leaves or pours a few drops on the ground: a small gesture that keeps the memory of reciprocity alive.\n\nThe despacho to Pachamama is a ceremonial offering made on key dates of the Andean year, such as Inti Raymi or Carnival. It is buried or burned to return to the earth part of what she has given us: fruits, flowers, sweets and seeds, wrapped in colored paper with coca and copal.\n\nThe coca leaf is the sacred medicine that opens dialogue with Mother Earth. It is read, offered and shared. In the Q'ero tradition, coca is "the mother of all plants" and a direct channel of communication with the spiritual world.\n\nHealing through the earth also means returning to what is essential: cultivating, walking barefoot, touching the soil, giving thanks for food. When you recover this connection, your body comes into balance, your emotions settle and your spirit finds home.
